The climate is generally hot and humid. The summer temperatures vary from 20C to 40C, while in winter it is between 13C and 32C. The South-West monsoons play a major role in determining the climate of the state. The North-East monsoons are responsible for about one-third of the total rainfall in Andhra Pradesh. June to December are the monsoon months and the weather remains hot and sultry. October to February is the best season.

Rajahmundry City is one of the oldest cities of Andhara Pradesh state, in India.Located between two main cities Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh state. Rajahmundry is a historical, traditional and cultural city surrounded by nature and located on bank of the river Godavari. The Godavari Pushkaram, a festival celebrated once in twelve years, attracts a large number of pilgrims from all over the country who come here to take a holy dip in the Godavari river, which is believed to wash a way their sins.
