Thailand is a place of immense beauty and culture. The Thai people are warm and friendly. It is a country of beautiful beaches and rugged mountains. Unfortunately, it is also a place where thousands of orphans are left to care for themselves and are often trafficked in the large and growing sex trade. The number of children, both girls and boys, exposed and subjected to this horrendous life is disturbing and incredibly sad.
Answer the Call is working with orphanages and organizations across Thailand to help stop this barbaric practice and to rescue children from the possibility of this end. We are directly supporting a small children’s home in northern Thailand that houses, cares for, and educates at risk children and trains them up for the Lord’s service in their own country and among their own people.
The needs of this orphanage, and for many others like it, are simple. Our friend, Enoch, who runs the Kingdom Kids Ministry Center in Fang, Thailand, survives on very little and is working to build a real kitchen (they currently cook outside) and some additional rooms for ministry, school studies, and housing.
Answer the Call is working to see this happen and to expand our reach across the country of Thailand. In September of 2015, board member Nick Reid visited Enoch and the children in Fang to spend time with the children and to see the progress of the work. He also made contact with other ministries and workers in northern Thailand in an effort to see where else we can help.
The task in Thailand is daunting, but the workers are growing and the fight is continuing. Answer the Call is committed to seeing the sex trafficking industry in Thailand completely eliminated and the Gospel of Truth spread across the country. May God richly bless everyone who partners to help in this effort.
